Shapechanger's Guise. The mimic can seamlessly transform into any object, from a weathered treasure chest to an ornate captain's hat, or revert to its true, gelatinous form. Its stats remain consistent in any guise. If it meets its demise, it reverts to its original, formless state.
Clinging Curse (Object Form Only). This mimic clings tenaciously to anything that dares touch it. A creature of Huge size or smaller that finds itself adhered is also grappled, as if caught in a sailor's net (escape DC 16). Attempts to break free are fraught with difficulty, suffering disadvantage.
Deceptive Stillness (Object Form Only). When the mimic lies in wait, it becomes indistinguishable from an alluring pile of pirate plunder, fooling even the keenest of eyes.
Siren's Allure. The mimic radiates an enchanting aura, making its treasure guise irresistibly tempting. Any creature within 30 feet must resist its charm (DC 15 Wisdom saving throw) or be drawn to it like a moth to flame for 1 minute. While under this spell, the creature is compelled to approach the mimic. The enchantment shatters if the creature is harmed or if an ally uses an action to break the spell's hold.

Double Strike. The mimic unleashes a flurry of attacks with its pseudopods, striking twice in rapid succession.
Tendril Lash. *Melee Weapon Attack:* +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. *Hit:* 19 (3d8 + 5) bludgeoning damage. If the mimic is in its treasure guise, the target becomes ensnared by its Clinging Curse.
Ravenous Bite. *Melee Weapon Attack:* +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. *Hit:* 22 (4d8 + 5) piercing damage, as the mimic's jaws snap shut with a hunger only the sea could match.
