Scalding Aura. At the start of each of the Steamdeck Tempest's turns, a cauldron of steam envelops its vicinity, causing each creature within 5 feet to suffer 7 (2d6) fire damage. Any creature that dares to touch the Steamdeck Tempest or strike it with a melee attack while within this range is singed for 7 (2d6) fire damage.
Thermal Overload (Recharge 5–6). As a bonus action, the Steamdeck Tempest can push its internal systems to the brink, causing its melee attacks to sear with an additional 7 (2d6) fire damage until the start of its next turn.
Actions
Thunderous Assault. The Steamdeck Tempest unleashes two Slam attacks in rapid succession, each echoing like a thunderclap.
Piston Slam. *Melee Weapon Attack:* +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. *Hit:* 11 (1d10 + 6) bludgeoning damage. The force of the attack reverberates with the power of steam-driven pistons.
Geyser Eruption. (Recharge 6) The Steamdeck Tempest releases a searing burst of steam in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 24 (7d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The area is momentarily obscured by a thick steam cloud.
Legendary Actions
Steam Deflection. When the Steamdeck Tempest is struck by a ranged weapon attack, it can use its reaction to channel a gust of steam, reducing the damage by 1d10 + 3. If the damage is negated completely, it can deftly catch the projectile, provided it is small enough to be grasped in one hand.
